Company taps three new local hires in season of continued growth
Wintrust Commercial Banking at Town Bank welcomes three new executives: Casey Wendt, vice president of commercial banking; Marylou Schirpke, senior vice president, relationship manager; and Wesley Ricchio, senior vice president of business banking.
The hires come with Town Bank’s recent expansion into the Milwaukee and southern Wisconsin markets in 2018. With its new headquarters in downtown Milwaukee and increased financial services offerings, Wintrust Commercial Banking at Town Bank has its sights set on serving southern Wisconsin middle market businesses and helping them achieve strategic initiatives through a variety of services backed by the strength of Wintrust. Wendt and Schirpke add to Wintrust Commercial Banking at Town Bank’s middle market team and will support the company’s continued growth in the local communities it serves.
“We are so pleased to welcome Casey, Marylou, and Wes to the Wintrust team,” said Jay Mack, president and CEO of Town Bank. “They bring valuable experience to our organization, and we’re looking forward to their contributions as we continue to serve our area’s businesses and customers. We know our clients and employees will benefit greatly from their combined knowledge and expertise. It’s an exciting time of growth for Town Bank, and we’re proud to have these three exceptional banking professionals join our team.”
Wendt, vice president of commercial banking, will be responsible for managing banking relationships with operating companies with revenues in excess of $10 million. He is an accomplished commercial banker in the Wisconsin market and has more than 15 years of financial services experience, including most recently with JP Morgan Chase in Milwaukee. He specializes in mergers and acquisitions, conventional financing, and treasury services. Wendt earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting and administration from Lakeland University. He enjoys volunteering for Dad’s Club at Parkview Elementary School in Cedarburg and helps fundraise for the school.
“I’m thrilled to join the excellent team at Wintrust,” Wendt said. “The company’s customer-focused manner of doing business easily aligns with my core values. I look forward to contributing to the positive momentum in the market.”
Joining Wendt on the middle market banking group is Schirpke, senior vice president, relationship manager. With expertise in treasury management, merchant services, wealth management, trust services, 401K administration, interest rate, and foreign exchange hedging, Schirpke brings nearly 24 years of commercial and business banking experience to her new role. She began her commercial banking career with Bank One in the commercial banking development program and has since served multiple financial institutions in a variety of commercial lending capacities. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Marquette University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lakeland University.
“I am truly excited to be a part of Town Bank and the investment it’s making in the metro Milwaukee and southeastern Wisconsin areas,” Schirpke said. “We have all the products and services to allow business owners in the Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Kenosha marketplaces to grow their businesses and the economy of Wisconsin.”
Ricchio, senior vice president of business banking, brings 35 years of experience to his new role, which will focus primarily on managing lenders in the Racine, Burlington, Lake Geneva, and Delavan markets. Ricchio has extensive experience in commercial lending and bank senior management. Prior to joining Wintrust Commercial Banking at Town Bank, Ricchio served as the president of the Kenosha market for First Business Bank. He holds an MBA in general management from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s of business administration in finance, investment, and banking from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
